The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the Liberal Studies Club presented "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" at Cal Poly Pomona’s annual Homecoming event Saturday, February 27.

During the presentation, five volunteers came onto the stage and were asked 10 difficult questions, mirroring the well-known trivia show and board game. With their answer boards in hand, volunteers had a healthy thought-driven competitive interaction with each other.

Students from the Liberal Studies (LS), Pilipino American Studies Kollective (PASK), Gender, Ethnic & Multicultural Studies (GEMS) and the Interdisciplinary General Education Student Organization (IGESO) clubs also hosted a booth, where they handed out information about upcoming events and community projects.

Rachel Torres, president of the CEIS Council expressed how excited the clubs were to attend and present. “With CEIS being a smaller college, this was a great opportunity for us to get our name out there and promote ourselves to students,” said Torres. “CEIS does so many amazing things for the campus and the community and it’s time to spread the word.”

Celeste Banaag, PASK club president, also had the opportunity to present and share the benefits and resources available to students within the Pilipino community.
